The Modern Bartending Project was born from a belief that service changes people. Learning to serve well builds confidence, creates opportunity, and connects us to each other. This work travels because it should.
Sandi McNeill
"Hospitality isn't about perfection. It's about presence. Let me serve you with care."
I've poured drinks at The Banff Springs Hotel and welcomed members home at The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. I've managed events where every second counted, and catering services where a single smile could turn someone's whole night around.
Now I teach new bartenders and career changers who are ready to build something meaningful for themselves. Maybe you've never held a shaker. Maybe you're leaving a desk job for a life with more movement, more people, more heart. Either way, you belong here.
In my classroom, you won't get polished lectures or stiff rules. You'll get a safe, energetic space where you can be yourself, make mistakes without fear, and grow alongside people who care. I don't stand at the front — I move through it, pour with you, laugh with you, and show you what hospitality looks like in real time.
My classroom runs on fun, learning, and belonging — not ego.
Did you have fun?
Did you learn something?
Did you feel safe?
If the answer to any of those is "no," I haven't done my job.
You bring your curiosity. And I'll bring mine.
I'll bring everything I've learned — and a genuine excitement to watch you become the person others feel lucky to work beside.
Let's build your confidence together.
Allow me to serve you with care.
